Central Oregon is a big region. Getting from Bend to a clinic west of the mountains can mean hours of highway and, in winter, snowy passes. Green Earth Medicine Clinics of Oregon (GEM) takes the drive out of it. Your medical marijuana evaluation happens on a secure video call, Monday through Friday, from wherever you are on the High Desert.

We serve all of Deschutes, Crook, and Jefferson counties: Bend, Redmond, Sisters, La Pine, Sunriver, Terrebonne, Prineville, Madras, and Culver. Our only in-person clinic is in Grants Pass, close to 200 miles away by road. That’s why nearly all of our Central Oregon patients use telehealth. The visit takes about 15 minutes. The drive would take most of a day.
A card made for an active life

Central Oregonians are hikers, skiers, climbers, and riders, and plenty of them deal with the aches, injuries, and chronic pain that come with that life. An OMMP card makes you a registered patient at Bend-area dispensaries, so you skip the state and local cannabis taxes. It also lets you grow up to six mature plants at home. GEM has helped Oregon patients through the program for about 18 years, and our doctors know the process inside and out.

Your evaluation
Book online, upload your medical records or let us request them, then meet our doctor by video. We confirm your qualifying condition and prepare your physician forms. Choose our Paperwork Service ($35) and we’ll handle the state application. Add Expedited Licensing (+$15) for a digital 30-day temporary card, often within 24–72 business hours.

Is there a GEM office in Bend? No. Central Oregon is served entirely by telehealth, which means no travel at all.
What do I need for my appointment? Proof of Oregon residency, your medical records, and a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera.
Can I renew by video, too? Yes. New patients and renewals both use the same online process.
Do you offer consultations outside of OMMP? Yes. Cannabis, botanical, and psychedelic consultations are available by video.
