Salem is the seat of state government, home to the Oregon Health Authority that runs the medical marijuana program. Even so, there’s no reason to sit in a waiting room to get your card. Green Earth Medicine Clinics of Oregon (GEM) brings the doctor visit to you by secure video, Monday through Friday. You get a knowledgeable team that has walked Oregon patients through OMMP for about 18 years.
We see patients from all over Marion and Polk counties and the surrounding Mid-Valley. That includes Salem, Keizer, Woodburn, Silverton, Stayton, Sublimity, Mount Angel, Turner, Aumsville, Dallas, Monmouth, and Independence. Our in-person clinic is in Grants Pass, about 200 miles down I-5. Telehealth saves you a full day on the road for a visit that takes about 15 minutes.
Why Mid-Valley patients get an OMMP card
Salem has one of the larger dispensary scenes in the state. Registered patients pay no state or local cannabis tax at the counter, which adds up fast for anyone who uses cannabis regularly. A card also lets you grow up to six mature plants at home. Many Mid-Valley gardeners already take advantage of that.
Your OMMP evaluation
Book online, fill out short digital paperwork, and meet one of our doctors on video from any device. We review your medical records and confirm your qualifying condition. Then we give you the signed forms the state requires. Our Paperwork Service ($35) does the state submission for you. Add Expedited Licensing (+$15) if you need a 30-day temporary card fast.
Cannabis and psychedelic wellness guidance
A card gets you in the door, and knowing what to use is the next step. GEM’s cannabis and botanical consultations help you choose cannabinoid ratios, delivery methods, and doses that fit your condition and your medications. We also offer psychedelic wellness consultations for Salem-area adults exploring psilocybin, microdosing, or ketamine. You get straight answers from experienced clinicians.

Can veterans save on both fees? Yes. Veterans pay $130 for the GEM visit and $20 for the state fee. Veterans with a 50%+ service-connected disability rating pay $0 to the state.
How long is the video visit? Most OMMP appointments take 10–15 minutes.
Do you only serve Salem proper? No. We serve every town in the Mid-Valley, and all of Oregon, by telehealth.
